During the 80s, another trend was being tropical. Think about the serene palm trees, neon, crazy patterns, and pastel sunsets—it was all in full swing. These 80s tropical design representations were widely seen in film posters, album covers, and home decor aliante casino movies.

When it comes to retro design, there is a variety of elements to consider. This also depends on what you’re working on and the elements available, whether you design an email newsletter, blog, or any other form factor. And when you have the right elements in the right order, taking your audience down memory lane (through retro design) can go smoother.

Art Deco is famous for using polished, mirrored, or golden metallic textures paired with black or silver. The primary effect of retro design tends to be almost overwhelming in terms of shine and sheen. Which is why, it looks very smooth and slick, as though the design was a floor that you could slide down on your socks.Other decades of retro design may have a very different feel, however.

The late 60s brought about a whole new style of design inspired by the psychedelic movement. Largely influenced by the mind-altering hallucinogenic drugs that became popular for recreational usage in the 60s, the ‘Psychedelic’ style soon emerged as its own design genre spanning art, movies, fashion, and music.

9 Natural History Bees Instant Art This is a really marvelous collection! One of my favorites is a fun old engraving of flowers in black and white with three varieties of honey bees in mid flight, ready to land. I love the contrast of the bees in color against the black and white flowers in the background.

3 Red Rose Vintage Printables This is a lovely set of red rose vintage printables. Included is a marvelous antique print of a perfect red rose came from an old nursery catalog and is likely 100 years old. According to the caption this is a Madame Victor Verdier.

The Windows Terminal, available from the Microsoft Store, is a terminal application for users of command-line tools and shells like Command Prompt, PowerShell, and WSL. Its main features include multiple tabs, panes, Unicode and UTF-8 character support, a GPU accelerated text rendering engine, and custom themes, styles, and configurations.

These Build Tools allow you to build Visual Studio projects from a command-line interface. Supported projects include: ASP.NET, Azure, C++ desktop, ClickOnce, containers, .NET Core, .NET Desktop, Node.js, Office and SharePoint, Python, TypeScript, Unit Tests, UWP, WCF, and Xamarin.
